AP Cabinet Gives Green Signal For The Cash Transfer For Free Electricity Scheme

CM Jagan assured that electricity will be provided for the farmers and not even a single connection will be removed. He said that the existing connections will be regularised.
Jagan maintained that special accounts will be opened in the name of farmers who have the electricity connections and the amount will be deposited in the accounts by the government.
The government will deposit the money for the electricity bills so that the farmers don't fee;l the pressure of paying the bills.
The cash transfer for the free electricity scheme will be implemented across the state from the 1st of April. The government made it clear that the banks cannot exclude the money transfers made by the government.
Other key decisions taken by the cabinet is to make amendments in the gaming act to ban online gambling and rummy. Action will be taken on people who will be caught playing gambling.
Cabinet allocated lands to set up medical colleges in Guntur and Prakasham districts.
