AP Cabinet Minister Suffers Heart Attack, Passed Away!

He was taken to a nearby hospital facility immediately, however, the efforts did not pay off.
According to the news, YCP leader Mekapati Gautam Reddy, the Minister of Information Technology of Andhra Pradesh suffered a heart attack during the early hours of Monday reportedly, following which, he was rushed to a private hospital. A team of doctors examined him right away.
After examining the IT Minister of Andhra Pradesh, it is said that the doctors came to a conclusion that he is no more and he breathed his last. Media reports abuzz that Mekapati Gautam Reddy was brought dead to the facility.
Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Mekapati Gautam Reddy visited United Arab Emirates Dubai recently to invite investors and firms to come to the state to make investments. Having held talks with them and reportedly signing a Memorandum of understanding(MoU) with a few companies, he returned to Hyderabad recently.
A day after he landed in Hyderabad, the IT Minister breathed his last after suffering a heart attack. Though he was taken to a super specialty hospital, he could not make it and left this world.
Mekapati Gautam Reddy hails from a political family. His father Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy served as the Member of Parliament from Nellore, a city known for rich agriculture. Though Rajmohan Reddy started his political career with the grand old Congress Party he then tried his luck in Telugu Desam Party and eventually joined the YSR Congress.
Following his father's footsteps, Gautam Reddy also joined the party and contested the elections as a YCP candidate in the divided Andhra Pradesh in two consecutive terms. His stature was increased after the YCP recorded a landslide victory.
Mekapati Gautam Reddy was one of the Legislators, who were given a chance to serve the state as Cabinet Ministers after the 2019 elections. As per the plan, the serving Cabinet Ministers will be called off and the remaining leaders will be given a chance.
