AP CID notices to Telecom service providers

Post the Andhra Pradesh police serving a notice on T Channel for airing Chandrababu's audio tapes in Cash for Votes scam, the T government has gone into a tizzy. The CID had served notices to T News channel and Sakshi CEO for broadcasting an audio tape which purportedly contained the telephone conversation between Stephenson and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu.
Now in a swift move AP CID issued summons to 12 telecom service providers in connection with phone tapping incident. The service providers were asked to present at Bhavani Puram Police station on Monday.The summons were issued following a complaint by Telugu Desam Party minister Devineni Uma that their leadersÂ’ phones were tapped by Telangana police.
