AP CM Jagan has a solution for the sand crisis
By: Tupaki Desk | 30 Oct 2019 5:39 AM GMTIt has been reported that AP CM YS Jagan is quite disappointed with the alleged sand crisis in the state and the strikes by the opposition parties as the government has failed to provide work for the construction workers. Reportedly, some construction workers committed suicide with a lack of work.
If the reports have to be believed, Jagan showed his displeasure on the officials and leaders for not able to make the public understand this issue.
'We should take pride in claiming that we have been able to get rid of the corruption from the sand mining,' said Jagan.
He has started a program called Sand weekend, which will start the next week.
'We have to let people know what is happening. We must condemn the accusations of repeated wrongdoings despite no mistake from our side,' he added.
As a relief to the construction workers, the government has identified more than 70 sand reaches near lakes. To create more work opportunities, the government has started to supply sand manually.
'Anyone can collect sand from local resources and carry it in one tractor up to 20 km informing Village Secretariat. Those who require work can get at sand reached through the village secretariat,' he observed
