No Fights..Let Us Work Collectively: KCR To Jagan
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Jun 2019 2:41 PM GMTThe crucial meeting between CMs of Telugu States over Irrigation Projects lasted for around 5 hours. Both KCR and Jagan decided to work collectively to address the water issues rather than clashing all the time.
KCR stressed the need for utilising Godavari and Krishna Water effectively. He expressed the view that approaching either Tribunal or Courts for resolving water disputes is waste of time. 'There is 4,000 TMC Water in Godavari, Krishna basin. Utilising this perfectly will benefit both the Telugu States. From Godavari, Nagarjuna Sagar and Srisailam water has to be diverted. Godavari Water should resolve the water scarcity in Rayalaseema, Palamuru and Nalgonda. This move would address the water scarcity in Rayalaseema, Nellore, Palamuru, Nalgonda and Prakasam. Polavaram Water should be diverted to Visakha through Veleru. Measures need to taken to prevent the flow of Vamshadara and Nagavali water into the sea,' he said.
Jagan, on the other hand, claimed to be open to work collectively in the best interest of the Telugu People. He directed the Irrigation Department Officials to come up with plans that guarantee best results.
