Social media giant Twitter had suspended Rahul Gandhi's account over violation of its policies after he shared a post that reveals the identity of the family of a victim.

The Congress leaders have opposed the decision and held Prime Minister Narendra Modi responsible for this, alleging that Twitter took the action according to his orders.

As a protest against Twitter's decision, former Amalapuram Lok Sabha member GV Harsha Kumar's son Srikumar fried quail in a pan and sent the bird to Twitter.

Reacting to the incident, the Andhra Pradesh wing of Congress had suspended him from the party. A letter stating the same was also sent to him.

The letter that was sent on the name of . L. Eswara Rao, the chairman of APCC disciplinary committee says that the decision of suspending the primary membership of Srikumar was taken as his way of protection had hindered the image of the party.

After suspending Rahul Gandhi's account for a few days, Twitter had restored the account recently.
