AP Executive Committee Discusses Capital Shifting
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 March 2020 1:00 PM GMTThe Executive Committee of Andhra Pradesh Secretariat which met at the Velagapudi has discussed some important issues in the state like the shifting of the secretariat from Amaravati to Vishakapatnam, Ugadi Celebrations 2020, Creation Posts, Dearness allowance, In place of Biometric usage of Physical registers.
It has been widely reported that the state will shift the capital by March 31st. With the new academic year kickstarting in June, the AP government has reportedly speeded up the process to shift the capital.
It is known that the AP government led by Jagan Mohan Reddy has opted to have three capitals. One each for executive, legislature and judiciary. While the Secretariat will be in Vishakapatnam, Kurnool and Amaravati will possess the Judicial capital and Assembly respectively.
Talking about the Ugadhi celebrations, the APSA will conduct the celebrations at the Conference Hall of the Secretariat located in Velagapudi on 20-3-2020 at 11:00 am and requested all the members to participate in the celebrations.
