The other day, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy chaired a crucial meeting with key officials of various departments to focus on improving the state revenue.

Now it is said that the Andhra Pradesh government wants to raise funds for the Nvaratnalu schemes, by selling the buildings and apartments in the Amaravati region reportedly.

With the Jagan government deciding to have three capitals for the state rather than only focusing on the Amaravati region, the structures like residential apartments, apartment blocks, and other buildings that were constructed in the regime of the previous government were left abandoned.

While several complexes have been completed, some of the structures are at various stages of construction.

The abandoned structures in the Amaravati region include high-class villas for the Judges and residences for the officers working at the High Court and the apartments meant for the public representatives and government employees.

This alleged decision from the Andhra Pradesh government has indicated how the government will deal with the structures in the Amaravati regions.

However, the AP government might not sell all the structures in Amaravati. As per the three capitals decision, Amaravati will be the legislative capital. The structures which would accommodate the public representtaives and employees will be left aside.

The remaining structures in the region might be sold out so that the welfare schemes in the state would get the required fundings.

It has to be noted that, earlier this week, CM Jagan has issue borders to form a committee comprising nine members. The committee will examine the buildings that will be required for the legislative capital

According to the media reports, the government will put the structures in Amaravati for sale to mobilise funds for the welfare schemes based on the recommendations of the committee.
