AP Government To Hike Pension Amount For Beneficiaries From July 8!

Speaking in the house, CM Jagan said, the current pension amount will be increased for the beneficiaries to Rs2,500 from the existing Rs 2,250. Rs 250 will be increased for the beneficiaries on July 8, on the occasion of late CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy's birth anniversary.
Speaking further, the Chief Minister said after coming to the power, we have increased the pension amount to Rs 2,250. The same will be increased to Rs 2,500 from July 8, this year.
Drawing a comparison between TDP and their government, CM Jagan said, we are giving pension to nearly 61 lakh pension beneficiaries, while the previous government has given a pension for 44 lakh beneficiaries only.
The hike in pension amount is one of the flagship promises made by Jagan Mohan Reddy before the 2019 elections during the election campaign. The promises are collectively called 'Navaratnalu' Jagan government has fulfilled the major premises in 'Navaratnalu' so far.
