AP Government Transfers TTD EO Anil Singhal

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Executive Officer(EO) Anil Kumar Singhal, who rendered his services for three years was transferred by the Andhra Pradesh government.
The state government has issued a Government Order (GO) in this regard which states that with immediate effect Anil Kumar will be posted as the Principal Secretary of Health, Medical Welfare, and Family Welfare department.
Additional Executive Officer(EO) AV Dharma Reddy was made TTD EO. Until further orders from the government, Dharma Reddy will continue as TTD EO.
Anil Kumar, who was an IAS officer of the 1993-batch is the first IAS officer from North India to get posted as TTD EO, during the regime of the previous Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government.
Singhal's appointment as TTD EO has kick-started a controversy. Many organisations and activists have opposed the decision. However, he was given the charge of the post for only two years.
Singhal, the 25th EO of TTD was appointed on May 1, 2017. However, the YSRCP government has extended his office term.
