The controversial movie ticket issue in Andhra Pradesh is showing no sign of settling down as the controversy surrounding the issue is getting bigger and bigger with each passing day. The other day, the issue went through a big development after the Andhra Pradesh High Court canceled the Government Order on reducing the ticket fares.

The Andhra Pradesh government which faced a big shock with the court's orders has now decided to knock on the doors of the court against the court orders, showing that the government is strong on its decision to reduce the ticket fares.

When everyone thought that the issue would be sorted out with the court orders, the Andhra Pradesh government announced the decision of challenging the High Court's verdict. The government will take the issue to the division bench of the High Court. It's interesting to see what happens next in the issue.

The Andhra Pradesh government had reciprocated its earlier comments and said, the intention behind bringing the Government Order is to see that the common people will not face any burden with the soaring prices sof the movie tickets.

For the unversed, the state government had issued GO no 35 earlier in April this year which aims at reducing the ticket prices. The prices were cut based on the divisions like Municipalities, Corporations, cities, and towns. The GO also cut short the special shows and benefit shows and only four shows are acceptable. The bigwigs in the industry held talks with the government over the issue but to no purpose.

Big personalities like Megastar Chiranjeevi, ace Producer Suresh Babu have openly requested the Chief Minister to rethink the decision and not reduce the ticket fares as the decision will push the industry into severe losses and the revenue will not benefit the theatre system as the industry faced a big blow with Covid.

As the government made it clear that the prices will not be increased, the theatre owners, distributors have moved the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Having been satisfied with the arguments of the petitioners' lawyers, the Court said, the theatre owners can increase the ticket fares.
