Bringing a lot of bad name for the Andhra Pradesh government, a theft was reported at the Nellore court, days after the new cabinet was set up. The issue had created a big political storm with the opposition parties coming down on the ruling party in the state.

As another headache to the Andhra Pradesh government, the Andhra Pradesh High court took the issue seriously and took it as Suomoto. Not just that, the DGP was asked about the progress in the case and directed to submit a report on what progress the department had made on the issue so far.

With the information related to the case of Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy getting stolen, the Andhra Pradesh High Court served notices to the Minister, state DGP and the director of CBI.

After hearing the arguments of both sides, the High Court had pushed the next hearing to June 6. During the arguments, the Advocate General said that they had no objections or issues if the case was transferred to the central agency CBI.

Looking at the case, earlier last month a theft was reported at the 4th Additional Judicial Magistrate's Court in Nellore. It is said that a few electronic gadgets and pieces of evidence were stolen.
