By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Oct 2021 8:49 AM GMTThe employees in Andhra Pradesh who have been facing a lot of issues with the delay in salaries and pensions since the last two years have changed their ways in fighting for their interests with the Andhra Pradesh government.
The employee unions have put up their demands before the state government and the government has also responded in a positive way by inviting the representatives of the employee unions for the meeting to sort out the issues.
Advisor to the Andhra Pradesh government Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Government Chief Secretary Sameer Sharma attended the meeting on the behalf of the state government that saw the members of the AP Employees Unions as the attendees.
AP JAC Chairman Bandi Srinivas Rao and AP JAC Amaravati Chairman Bopparaju Venkatenswarlu attended the meeting. They have listed out the problems faced by the employees as the salaries and pensions are delayed every month. The representatives have urged them to look into the matter at the earliest.
It has been widely reported that the employees' unions demanded the Andhra Pradesh Government that the delay in the salaries and pensions should be addressed saying that since 2019, they have been facing a lot of issues.
On top of this, the employees' unions have also placed the demand of extending the PRC (pay revision commission) scales. Citing the example of fellow Telugu state Telangana, the representatives have reportedly asked why the government is not thinking about the PRC when Telangana increased the same by 30 percent.
Besides fighting for the interests of the employees, the representatives reportedly gave an ultimatum to the Andhra Pradesh government saying that they would agitate for the same if the government fails to address the demands that were placed by them.
During the meeting, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Sameer Sharma reportedly gave a word to the representatives that their demands would be taken to the Chief Minister very soon and their concerns would be addressed.
Joining the employees' unions, the opposition TDP has also been attacking the government over the delay in implementing the 11th PRC. The employees are hoping that the new PRC will come into effect from Dasara or Diwali.
