AP Govt serves notice to Dhulipalla over his DVC trust

Senior Telugu Desam Party(TDP) leader, Sangam Dairy Chairman Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar suffered another big blow after the Andhra Pradesh government served notices and granted one week time to take a call on the Dhulipalla Narendra Chowdary Charitable Trust. Notices on the name of the Commissioner were sent to the TDP leader.
In the notices served to Dhulipalla Narendra, Andhra Pradesh Endowment Department Commissioner Hari Jawaharlal asked him to give a proper reason on why can't the trust be taken over by the government. To give a reason, he was given one week.
The Dhulipalla Veeraiah Chowdary Trust was started in 1994 and the trust takes care of various charity works through a hospital. The Endowment Department asked about the same trust that is into carrying out the charitable works in the state. The farmers and their family members were given medical assistance at 50 percent rates at the trust hospital.
Earlier, Dhulipalla Narendra, who had won the Assembly elections for five consecutive terms was arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials in connection with the alleged irregularities in Sangam Dairy. The alleged scam over giving bonuses to the workers at the dairy was also probed by the agency.
Amid high drama and full security, former MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police by showing up at his residence in Pounnur's Chitalapudi village. He was sent to prison and released later as per the Andhra Pradesh High Court orders.
As another big development, the Andhra Pradesh Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had stepped into the issue and carried out its probe. Later, the case was transferred to the Enforcement Directorate. The agency looked into the alleged irregularities and the charges leveled against the Sangam Dairy for reportedly transferring lands to private firms.
Subsequently, the High Court had cancelled the Government Order issued by the state government to bring the Sangam dairy into the purview of the government. Having said that, the Court also made it clear that the dairy cannot sell or purchase any assets with approval from the Court. The directors were allowed to carry out their functions.
