The Andhra Pradesh government employees are going strong in their fight for their demand in connection with the PRC recommendations. Keeping up the adamant nature, the angry employees are aiming big by gearing up to go on indefinite strike from tomorrow.

There are media reports that the employees will get support on strike and more unions are expected to join the force. As a precautionary measure, the government had reportedly used a key power to keep the employees under control to dilute the protest.

It has been widely reported that the Essential Services Maintenance Act(ESMA) was issued for the employees of the Mining department. The timing of the notice did not go well with the employees and they have asked what the Act was imposed all of a sudden when there is no need for it.

For the unversed, the ESMA Act is used by the employees under critical circumstances to stop the employees from protesting against the government. If used, the ACT will make the government enjoy massive powers.

The Act enables the government to take severe action against the employees. The protesting employees can be suspended under the Act. Several states in the past have used the same act to bring the employees under control..
