By: Tupaki Desk | 22 May 2020 11:10 AM GMTIn a super jolt to the Andhra Pradesh Government, the High Court quashed the suspension of the ex Intelligence chief AB Venkateswara Rao and directed the state government to appoint his back.
Along with taking him back to duties, he will be paid a salary for the suspension period too. While hearing the case, the High Court overturned the report submitted by the CAT on the suspension of the IPS officer.
Going into detail, Venkateswara Rao who is a member of the 1996 cadre was suspended by the AP government in the month of February on the charges of the misappropriation of funds in purchasing equipment for the Police department.
The AP government found fault with Venkateswara Rao and directed the ACB DG to look into this and submit a comprehensive report.
