AP High Court Order On Door Delivery Of Ration Goods Raises Confusion!
X
The Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has moved the AP High Court challenging the orders of SEC to not use the Mobile Dispensing Units (door delivery vehicles) for supplying ration goods with YSRCP flags and party symbols.

Civil Affairs Commissioner knocked on the doors of the High Court claiming that changing the colors of more than 9,000 door delivery vehicles will be a wastage of public money.

Hearing the petition, the High Court stayed the orders issued by SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar on doorstep delivery of ration goods. The stay will be affection till the 15th of March.

However, there is no information on whether the Andhra Pradesh government can go ahead with the ration goods supply with the High Court issuing stay orders against the SEC’d ordered.

Media reports claimed that both parties are giving arguments in their favour. While the state government is in the belief that the ration goods supply can be continued, the SEC opined that the supply cannot be resumed till further orders from the court.

It has to be noted that the election schedule for the Municipalities in Andhra Pradesh was issued today. With the election code coming into effect, the ration supply is likely to be halted.

Let us wait and see how both the parties respond to this. We might get more information once the official statement comes from the Andhra Pradesh government.
