AP High Court rules in favour of colleges in seat filling row!
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Dec 2021 12:55 PM GMTThe managements of Degree colleges from the Rayalaseema region who were not happy with the Andhra Pradesh government's decision that says the Convenor will fill the seats under the management quota had moved the High Court challenging the decision. The plea came for the hearing on Friday.
As a hammer blow to the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh government, the division bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court had struck down the GO brought by the government giving a major sigh of relief for the colleges.
The government guidelines on the fulfillment of management quota are not accurate. Government's Jagananna Vidya Deewana should be implemented for SC, ST, BC, Minority and OBC students who have got a set in management quota, the bench said.
How can the convenor fill the seats in the Management quota? If the convenor gets involved in the management quota of the seats then the rights of the private colleges get hindered, the advocates representing the colleges said. Satisfied with the arguments, the Court gave orders in favor of the colleges.
