AP Minister's men attack YSRCP worker for asking loan repayment
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 May 2022 5:39 AM GMTNewly inducted AP minister Usha Sri Charan is fast emerging as controversy's favourite child. On Wednesday, her supporters attacked a worker of her own party and thrashed him black and blue. The incident occurred in Kalyandurg and the minister's followers were caught on CCTV camera attacking one Srikanth Reddy.
The followers of the minister forced their way into Srikanth Reddy's fertilisers shop and began landing blows on him. They attacked him claiming that he was selling spurious fertilisers. However, Srikanth Reddy and his supporters claimed that they had loaned huge amounts to Pushpa Sricharan and that she has not been paying up the amount.
Interestingly, Srikanth Reddy and his wife staged a dharna in front of Usha Sri Charan's residence on April 6 demanding the payment of the arrears. They said that Usha Sri owes them huge amounts. On the very same day, Usha Sri Charan's supporters attacked Srikanth Reddy's brother in law Rami Reddy in front of the municipal office in Kalyandurg.
Srikanth Reddy, who was attacked on Wednesday, said that the police were acting in a partisan manner and that they were favouring the minister's supporters. He said those who attacked him were let off moments after being taken into custody. This only whows that the police were hand in glove with the minister's henchmen.
