YSRCP Rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju is a sensation in Andhra Pradesh politics. Whatever he does and speaks always grabs the attention. The Parliamentarian has been in the news with his nature of being the thorn in the flesh of the Andhra Pradesh government. He has been going against the government on various issues.

Over the past few weeks, media reports are abuzz that Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, popularly known as RRR will bid goodbye to the YCP and join the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) which is in power at the central level.

Today, Rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju had surprised everyone by breaking the news of resigning from his MP position. The Narasapuram MP announced the shocking decision while addressing the media in the national capital Delhi.

RRR said that he will resign from the MP position soon and call for the by-elections. He even gave an insight into how he will go ahead with the election campaign and what his election slogan is going to be.

"I will contest the by-election in Narasapuram by using Amaravati, the capital city, as the election agenda. My victory in the by-election will show how the people in the state are not happy with the ruling of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy," Raghu Ramakrishna Raju said while addressing the media.

Going by RRR's statements, we can expect a high intense by-poll in Andhra Pradesh. While the MP would like to take his revenge on the government by winning the by-poll, the ruling outfit would go in the by-poll with all guns open to win the constituency.

Earlier, we have seen how things turned worse between RRR and Andhra Pradesh government since 2020. The issue reached a point that the MP was arrested by the government on the grounds of sedition charges for making anti-government comments.

The issue became infamous when the rebel MP alleged that he was mistreated in the custody and said that he was beaten in the custody due to which he sustained injuries. To seek bail in the case, the MP had to knock on the doors of the top court Supreme Court.
