AP Okays 43%; KCR offers 44%

Finaly RTC employees decided to go back to their duties. Both the Telangana and Andhra Governments agreed to major demands of the striking RTC employees. RTC Employees are succeeded in forcing governments to agree to their demand for 43 percent fitment.
The sub-committee formed by the AP government holds talks with the RTC employeesÂ’ union leaders and agreed for their demand. A three-member cabinet sub-committee of Andhra Pradesh headed by Finance Minister Y. Ramakrishnudu holds with leaders of striking employees to resolve the issue.
Going a step further, Telangana CM KCR, who himself addressed the media, announced 44 per cent fitment, one per cent more than that announced by the TDP government. He also said all the contract employees would be regularized from Thursday. All the cases booked against the RTC workers would be waived; KCR told
The strike caused lot of inconvenience to the public. About 20,000 buses of APSRTC remained off the roads, paralysing public road transport services in the two states. The management is running partial services with the help of contract workers. With the union leaders calling upon the employees to join the duties, a major hurdle to ThursdayÂ’s Eamcet test in Telangana has been cleared.
