The much-awaited Panchayat elections have started in Andhra Pradesh. The first phase of the elections was conducted on Tuesday. The polls were held peacefully. In the first phase, 2,723 Panchayats were covered.
The election date for the second phase of the Panchayat polls is fast approaching. According to the election schedule, the polls for the second phase will be conducted on Saturday, February 13.
For the second phase of the Panchayat elections, Siddhartha, a Software employee who earns Rs 50,000 per month as salary has filed his nominations as a Sarpanch candidate for Konduru.
Siddhartha, who is interested in politics has left his white-collar job to develop his village. The Sarpanch post for Kondudru was allotted to a BC General candidate this time.
Actor-turned-politician, TDP Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna who got to know about Siddhartha has selected the Software engineer as candidate support by the TDP to encourage him. Siddhartha is expected to win the post.
