Andhra Pradesh is a perfect example of how a state should not be bifurcated. There was no capital city and no sufficient funds to develop the state. Though there are a few resources available, they are not to a level of helping the state. With each year passing by, the situation is getting only worse.

To give a proper example of the current crisis, the government employees forgot to draw salaries at the month-end as it is getting delayed every month. This made them hit the roads to fight the PRC and other demands. The issue was partially addressed and the heat around is still intact.

To deal with the crisis, the government is trying to go for as much debt as possible. However, the state had already surpassed the prescribed limit. With no option left, the government had started increasing the taxes and bringing up new taxes drawing criticism. The decision to bring poll tax had done a lot of damage to the government.

Not learning from the mistakes, the Andhra Pradesh government is reportedly in plans to increase the financial burden on people in the state. As per the information, the state-owned road transport corporation APSRTC is gearing up to increase the ticket rates.

However, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation is saying that due to the hike in fuel prices it was forced to take the harsh decision. Based on the services, the ticket prices will be hiked. For the Pallevelugu bus, the hike will be Rs 2 and for AC buses the hike will be Rs 10. Express service buses will see a hike of Rs 5 on ticket price.

While the transport corporation is saying that there are deep losses due to various reasons like the Covid outbreak and others, it is the public that faces the burden due to such decisions.

The hike in prices of various services is turning out to be deadly to the public. However, the government is ignoring all that and going ahead with its decision. The opposition parties are breathing fire on the government over its disastrous decisions.
