AP Politics Now Revolving Around Alliances?
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 March 2022 6:29 AM GMTGiving a strong hint that the forthcoming polls in divided Andhra Pradesh, which marks the third elections in the state, the politics in the state are now revolving around alliances and parties coming together for the polls. The parties are talking about the alliance directly and indirectly.
The alliance politics in the state should be seen before and after Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan spoke about it. People in the state started talking about the topic more since then. Hinting at joining hands with the Telugu Desam Party, his former ally, Pawan said that there is a need to see that the anti-YSRCP votes don't get split.
Not just that, Pawan Kalyan even said that he is waiting for the road map as guaranteed by the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) for the 2024 general elections to make it to power in the state.
Days after Pawan Kalyan sought the roadmap, the chief of the Andhra Pradesh wing of Bharatiya Janata Party Somu Veerraju reacted to the same and said that the roadmap which Pawan Kalyan had asked is being prepared and would be out very soon.
Somu Veerraju's comments on the possible alliance also added fuel that the BJP and Janasena might be in favour of joining hands with the party.
Not denying the possibility of forming an alliance, the AP BJP chief said that the issues that deal with the alliance would be discussed by the Jana Sena and BJP leaders. His comments had also hinted that BJP's anger towards the TDP is not that severe.
It has to be noted here that, before the 2019 elections, Telugu Desam Party had parted ways with the Bharatiya Janata Party. To encash the anti-sentiment the BJP was facing, TDP had locked horns with the party and alleged that the BJP is not supporting Andhra Pradesh which was divided without a state.
Post the 2019 general elections, the top leaders of BJP, Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and others have made it clear that the doors for TDP for the alliance were closed permanently. However, it looks like the saffron party BJP is changing its mind. Though the information on the same is not available, the ongoing developments say the same.
