AP ahead of other States in Commercial Tax

AP Government claimed No.1 Position in the category of highest percentage growth when it comes to revenue generates through Commercial Tax.
As per statistics, AP earned Rs 8,250 crore revenue from Commercial Taxes. A growth of 23.63 percent has been reported when compared to revenue of the previous year.
Major contribution came from tax on Petroleum Products and Liquor. While Tax on Petroleum Products generated Rs 2,208.83 crore, Liquor contributed Rs 2,040 crore. While VAT and CST generates Rs 781 crore, Other Taxes have earned Rs 437.3 crore.
In a span of three months, Vijayawada contributed Rs 999.96 crore in the form of tax to stay ahead of all the other cities in the State.
