AP SEC releases election notification for Panchayat Elections

Andhra Pradesh State election commissioner(SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has issued the election notification for the Local Body Elections on Saturday.
As per the notification, the nominations for the Panchayat elections will be accepted from the 25th of this month. The last date to file the election nominations is the 27th of this month.
The nominations filed by the candidates will be verified by the authorities on the 28th of this month. The Objections pertaining to the nominations will be considered on January 29th.
The Election Commission will take the final call on the objections over the election nominations on January 30. The candidates will be permitted to withdraw their nominations on the 31st of this month.
After the nomination withdrawal process, the Election Commission will announce the final list of candidates. The polling for the local body polls will be commenced on the 5th of February.
The polling will be held from 6: 30 AM to 3: 30 PM. The vote counting process will be started at 4: 00 PM. The election results will be released on the same day, the notification said.
The Local Body elections will be held in phases. In the first phase, the polls will be held in 11 divisions in the state.
