Andhra Pradesh Struggling To Perform In Tourism Category!
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 Dec 2022 10:56 AM GMTTourism is one of the key revenue-generating areas for the states. States that put up a great show in tourism see good revenues. As tourism gives a good boost to hotels and other businesses. States with good places have a good scope.
Andhra Pradesh is not doing good in many areas and tourism is one of them. For the past three years, Andhra Pradesh's rank in terms of tourism has been getting worse. In 2019, months after YCP came to power, AP was ranked 12th. In 2020 and 2021 the state was ranked 17th and 18th respectively.
This is a big concern as Andhra Pradesh was placed in the 9th position in 2018, during the previous government. This shows how the state is going into a downtrend in tourism.
The divided state has many beautiful locations that can boost the state's performance in tourism. Shore city Vizag is one such place and we have Lambasingi village which is called south Kashmir given the breathtaking landscapes it enjoys.
Gandikota, Borra Caves, and others can also attract good footfalls if proper care is given. Somehow the government is not looking into it. The concerned Minister should give her best. Roja was made the Tourism Minister and she has to pull up her socks now.
The state needs good income and revenue as the economy is not in a good position. If proper care is given and good measures are taken we can see the Tourism sector flourishing.
Looking at the list, Kerala has been ruling the list. In 2021 it was ranked at the top and it is not a wonder. God's own country has many beautiful locations and filmmakers also prefer shooting there. A few scenes in Baahubali were shot there. For the past few years, Kerala has been among the top three performing states.
