Following the Centre easing more relations on inter-state transportation as part of Unlock 4.0, neighboring states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are making efforts to resume the RTC services between the states.

Andhra Pradesh Transport Department Principal Secretary MT Krishna Babu has written to Telanagana Principal Secretary regarding increasing the more services to Andhra Pradesh from TS.

Earlier Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) and Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) called for a meeting to take a call on resuming the services again which were suspended with the imposement of a nationwide lockdown.

However, the meeting didn't end on a positive note. APSRTC came up with a proposal to run around 256 bus to TS that too in a phased manner.

On the other hand, TSRTC proposed that APSRTC should cut short the number of kilometers run by the buses in Telangana.

Transport Department Principal Secretary writing a letter agreeing to proposals made by the Telangana government is giving hope that bus services between the Telugu states might resume very soon.
