AP Witnessed Over 800 Percent Growth In Fresh Cases In July!

Andhra Pradesh even overtook national capital Delhi to become the third worst-affected state in the country with the virus spread followed by Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
The virus spread its wings in the state in the month of July with around one lakh cases reported in this period. This translates to more than 800 percent in the growth of cases.
Looking at the cases, at the month end of June, the state has a total of 14,596. In one month the situation went upside down and as of the 31st of July, the cases in the state stood at 1,26,000.
On the other hand, the East Godavari region in the state turned out as the hotspot for the virus and entered the list of the top ten regions in the country with the most number of cases.
West Godavari recorded a whooping percentage of fresh cases with 1800 percent and the positivity rate in the also high with 11.9 percent which is quite scary.
Andhra Pradesh, which reported more than 10,000 infections for three consecutive days reported as many as 9276 fresh infections in the last 24 hours and the total infections rose to 150209.
