Now the Apple and Google companies have come together to develop a tracing system that is compatible with both IOS and Android platforms which is expected to alert the users if they come in contact with the positive cases of the dreaded virus.
This collaboration between the two big smartphone giants which will lend a helping hand to the health officials to track the spread of the disease without violating the privacy of the users.
The tracking system will track the interactions of the phone users and if anyone tests positive for the virus, people who have come in contact with the person will be notified.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai took to Twitter to confirm the same and guaranteed that the users' privacy is not violated in this process.
"To help public health officials slow the spread of #COVID19, Google & @Apple are working on a contact tracing approach designed with strong controls and protections for user privacy. @tim_cook and I are committed to working together on these efforts," his tweet read.
