APPSC Chairman Dealings Hitting Jagan Government's Transparency?
By: Tupaki Desk | 29 Nov 2019 8:49 AM GMTThere are allegations galore against Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) chairperson Udaya Bhaskar. Appointed by the erstwhile TDP regime, Udaya Bhaskar is not just still continuing, but if the sources are to be believed, he is said to be doing everything to bring disrepute to the YS Jagan Government.
Several job aspirants allege that he is being casteist and is accused of helping the candidates from one particular community. What more, there are allegations galore that he is colluding with some coaching centres. There is a strong but unconfirmed buzz that Udaya Bhaskar was appointed on the recommendations of Sujana Chowdary, who has since moved out of the TDP to join the BJP. Though most of those appointed to nominated posts have resigned once there was a regime change, Udaya Bhaskar continued in the same position. There are strong allegations that his working style is not in conformity with transparency of the YS Jagan government.
There are allegations that he is being autocratic and is not consulting the other members of the APPSC. There are also complaints that he has repeatedly changed the syllabus for Group 1, 2 and 3 exams. As many as 25 out-of-syllabus questions in Group 1 have sown great confusion. If highly placed sources are to be believed, the YSRCP government has taken a serious view of the activities of the APPSC chief and might move in with alacrity and show him the door.
