Is there a concerted attempt on the part of the BJP seniors to weaken Bandi Sanjay? It appears so. Are the senior leaders in the party, who are increasingly upset at the growing popularity of Bandi Sanjay, trying to pull down Bandi Sanjay from the popularity charts.
Ever since he took over as the party president, Bandi Sanjay has been growing in popularity for his fiery speeches. He had spearheaded the BJP campaign in both Dubbak and the GHMC elections. His speeches became instant hits and the way he took on KCR made him an instant hero. This reportedly is not to the liking of some seniors. So, they have decided to ensure that he does not hog the limelight in the Nagarjunasagar bypolls. The party seniors had decided at the core committee meet that the campaign in Nagarjunasagar would be mainly at the micro level. Emphasis would be on village and booth level campaign. This means, there would be no big roadshows and meetings this time. This also means that Bandi Sanjay will not get publicity.
Sources say that since BJP is slightly a different work ethic, Bandi Sanjay has not come out into the open. He is keeping it to himself and has decided to go by what the core committee has decided. But, sources said that he would strike back once the election results are out.
