Centre to come up with 'roadmap' for AP: Arun Jaitley

Here comes some sort of good news for AP. Union Government today said a roadmap for implementing key provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act would be prepared soon. Finance minister Arun Jaitley made this announcement while ago.
Jaitely said a final view on granting special status to the state would be taken reconciling with the Finance Commission's recommendations. The decision came minutes after AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi amid stepped up demand for special category status to the state.
When particularly asked about giving Special Category status for Andhra Pradesh, Jaitley replied all those options have been discussed and reconciling it with what the Finance Commission has said.Jaitley said that NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Panagirya will be in touch with the officers and taking a final view on this.
