Arun Jaitley Disappoints Thrice In A Row
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 Feb 2018 5:02 AM GMTUnion Finance Minister Arun Jaitley issued statements thrice in the past few days in response to the agitation of AP MPs in Parliament. Not even once did the Minister was able to appease the Andhrites as he kept repeating the same old comments.
Jaitley reiterated Union Government is committed to fulfill all the promises made to Andhra Pradesh. He informed concerned Ministers are working to implement the provisions of AP Reorganization Act 2014. 'Telangana managed to receive more revenue with bifurcation. AP has to be compensated for revenue deficit. Rs 3,979 crore were given to AP for the financial year 2014-15. We are working on Visakha Railway Zone, Kadapa Steep Plant and Durgapatnam Port. Central Funds were offered for Polavaram Project and Amaravati. Even Visakha-Chennai industrial corridor is under consideration. Many Institutions have been established in AP,' he said.
However, None of the TDP, YCP and Congress MPs expressed satisfaction over the statement issued by Arun Jaitley. Even though the agitations continued, Centre continued to deny special treatment for AP. Why don't BJP clearly mention how much funds it would be offering to Andhra Pradesh?
