Arvind Kejriwal Aims Hindutva-painted Weapon At BJP!
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 Oct 2022 7:43 AM GMTIndia is a secular country despite Hindus being the majority. Political parties had always aimed at minorities to woo them to make them the vote bank. But the political picture in India changed at once after Bharatiya Janata Party came to power. The saffron party made the majority it's darling and made them a strong vote bank.
BJP took the situation to a point where the parties which projected themselves as secular started visiting the temples. Who would have thought that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav would visit the Hindu shrines?
As BJP made Hindutva idealogy its strong weapon, a Chief Minister is using the same to attack it. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave a big blow to BJP by defeating it in Punjab. He is in plans to give another big bow to the saffron party in upcoming Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.
The two elections are very crucial for BJP and Gujarat is the home state of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. Bringing the Hindutva card out Kejriwal visited many shrines in Gujarat and others. Now he made a sensational demand to the Union government.
The Chief Minister raised a new demand that we should have the images of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh on the currency notes along with Mahatma Gandhi. He directly urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to print pictures of Hindu deities.
Mr. Kejriwal cited the example of Indonesia - a Muslim nation that has a picture of Lord Ganesh on its currency note. "When Indonesia can, why can't we? The photos can be printed on fresh notes," he said.
It is understood that Kejriwal raised the demand to bank on the Hindutva idea for the upcoming polls. If the saffron party can print the Hindu pictures Kejriwal would take the credit and if the BJP cannot take the daring step Kejriwal would paint himself as the true fighter of Hindutva ideology.
As all the parties in the nation are aiming for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, we can expect a few more Hindutva-painted weapons coming from Arvind Kejriwal who wants to take the place of Congress as the main opposition party.
