No Special Status for AP: Union Ministry
X

The Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry conveyed to YSR Congress chief YS Jagamohan Reddy in the form of a letter that AP doesn't quality for the Special Category Status.

The Letter was issued by Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Industry Mr. Ashish Dutta on August 7th, 2015. It clearly mentions AP doesn't fit in any guidelines laid by the planning commission to accord Special Category Status. All that the Union Ministry could assure to AP is Investment Allowance and Addition Depreciation Allowance.

What the worst could happen? In reply to a letter written by Jagan to PM, The department of industrial policy and development made it clear AP doesn't fulfill the criteria for any special incentives.

YSR Congress took this opportunity to throw the blame on TDP Government accusing it of misleading the people with false promises. Copies of the Union Ministry's letter have been distributed to media persons in party headquarters.
