Ashok Gajapathi Raju lost his Brother

Union Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju's brother Ananda Gajapathi Raju passed away on Saturday due to prolonged illness. He has been undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital in Visakhapatnam since some time.
Ananda Gajapathi Raju served as Minister for two terms (Heath and Education Portfolios). He has been a trustee of over 100 Temples including Simhachalam, Ramatheetam, Arasavalli and Srikurmam. He is also the Chairman of Mansar Trust and holds two PhDs.
Not many knew, Ananda Gajapathi Raju is the descendant the Vizianagaram royal family. However, He felt the royal lineage has been disadvantage for him as being known as the common man helps people connect with him better.
In his previous interview, The Former Minister even opined creation of Telangana state is necessary if it ensures economic development.
