By: Tupaki Desk | 4 March 2020 12:47 PM GMTFormer Union Minister and senior TDP leader P Ashok Gajapathi Raju made it a habit to hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Recently he found himself in the news when his daughter batted for three capitals decision of YSRCP leaving him in a shock.
As he is A scion of Royal family of Vizayanagram princely state and the son of Vizianagaram king PVG Raju he holds a great following and popularity in the region and besides that, he also leads many trusts and properties that were owned by his family.
He became the honorary chairman of various trusts that were started by his family after the sudden demise of his brother Ananda Gajapathi Raju.
But all his glory went in vain when the arch-rival of his party, YSRCP headed by Jagan Mohan Reddy emerged victoriously in the general elections and formed the government.
He was also removed from the honourary Chairman post of the Simhachalam Devasthanams Trust Board which was awarded for him as he is the son of late PVG Raju.
In much embarrassment to him his niece Sanchaita Gajapathi Raju was appointed as the new chairperson of the Simhachalam Trust Board.
As the latest addition to his embarrassment, he was also removed from the honorary chairman post of the educational trust Maharajah Alak Narayan Society of Arts and Science (MANSAS), founded by his father.
