Indian Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin won a rare honour. Aswin has created history by becoming world's no 1 bowler in Test cricket.Aswin beats South African spped Gun Dale Steyin to won the crown.

ICC announced its Test Player Rankings on Thursday. Australia captain Steve Smith and Indian off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin names were announced as the number-one ranked batsman and bowler respectively. Ashwin became only the second Indian, after the legendary Bishan Singh Bedi, to be ranked as no 1 Bowler by ICC.

The 29-year-old Ashwin has become the first Indian since Bedi in 1973 to achieve the milestone of finishing the year as No.1.Bedi is the only India bowler to ever top the Test bowling table.

Ashwin was one of the most successful bowler for india and he finished 2015 with 62 wickets in nine Test. In the past decade, Shane Warne has finished in the top position in 2005 and Muttiah Muralitharan completed a hat-trick from 2006 to 2008.Later Steyin continued in the spot several years.
