Since the news of Sasikala Natarajan's elevation as Tamil Nadu CM spread like wildfire, Negative Campaign was launched on Social Media disapproving her leadership. Hashtags #TNSaysNoToSasi and #RIPTN began trending on Twitter.
Even Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin tweeted: To all the youngsters in TN, 234 job opportunities to open up shortly.
235 Seats exist in Tamil Nadu. One of them has gone vacant with the demise of Jayalalithaa. Sasikala Natarajan will occupy that spot by contesting by-poll within the next six months.
However, Ashwin clarified his tweet is no way related to Tamil Nadu Politics. 'Guys please cool it down, it is a job creation drive.Nothing to do with Politics.#howmuchtwisting,' he posted.
Sofia Ashraf, a Chennai-based Rapper, performed on the streets of Poes Garden against Sasikala's elevation on Sunday. She even broadcasted it live on Facebook with the description 'Democracy is Dead'.
Meanwhile, Sasikala Natarajan is gearing up for his swearing-in ceremony at Madras University hall Tomorrow (February 7th).
