Asst Professor Allegedly Raped His Student On Campus In Hyd

In a horrifying turn of events, Malla Reddy's assistant professor has sexually assaulted an engineering student at the college campus reportedly. According to the police, the 30-year-old Venkataiah who works as an assistant professor and lab-in-charge was arrested by Petbasheerabad police.
The victim, who is in her late teens is studying the second year BTech said that she went to the lab after the accused called her. When she entered the room, the accused reportedly locked the door and assaulted her.
The victim reached the home and informed her parents about the incident. The family rushed to the police station and complained.
After receiving the complaint, the victim was sent for medical examination and the accused was arrested by the cops. The police said that Venkataiah has confessed to the crime after questioning. They also said that no CCTV cameras were installed in the lab. He was booked under IPC Section 376(Rape).
