Controversial Cricketer Sreesanth was banned for life from playing Cricket by the BCCI for his involvement in spot fixing in the 2013 IPL season. Srisanth sent to Tihar jail and he was later released on bail.

Now stunning news got revealed about Srisanth during his jail term. Singer Madhu Balakrishnan, who is also the brother-in-law of S. Sreesanth said that the Kerala pacer survived a murder attempt in Tihar jail.

Madhu Balakrishnan who was a famous singer in Kerla told a TV talk show on Friday that another jail inmate, who had been an alleged accused in a murder case, tried to kill the cricketer. Madhu revealed that the goon had attacked Srikanth on the jail with sharp edged weapon.

Madhu also said that Sreesanth had to face physical and mental torture in the jail. The revelation of Madhu is creating sensation and its once again proved the dark side of IPL scams.

Sreesanth, who was playing for Rajasthan Royals, was arrested in Mumbai in 2013 by Delhi Police .Srisanth arrested for his alleged involvement in spot-fixing in IPL matches for payments of up to Rs 60 lakh. Following this, the BCCI had imposed a life ban on him in September. He was booked under section 420 (cheating) and 120-B of the IPC.
