Axar Patel equals Dilip Doshi's record of claiming 27 wickets in Debut series

Left-arm spinner Axar Patel made his Test debut against the England team in the absence of Ravindra Jadeja. As they say, one man's misfortune is another man's opportunity, Paten got hold of the opportunity with both hands.
Patel made his debut in the second Test match in Chennai. He made an impressive debut by claiming his maiden fifer. By claiming another fifer in the fourth and final Test match, Patel equaled Dilip Doshi's record of claiming 27 wickets in the debut series.
In the pink-ball game played at Ahmedabad, Axar claimed five and six-wicket haul in the first and second innings playing a key role behind India winning the test by 10 wickets.He also holds the record of having the most number of fifers by an Indian bowler who have played three Tests.
Talking about his achievement, Axar Patel said his confidence helped him in claiming the wickets. Getting wickets in the first game helped me in carrying forward the wicket-taking streek, he said.
