Chandrababu Naidu retained his Kuppam Seat in the 2019 Elections. TDP Supremo, however, had to settle for half of the majority he used to obtain in the past. In fact, Naidu was trailing by the end of First Round but recovered later to obtain a respectable majority of nearly 30,000 votes.
Anything could have happened had if YCP Candidate Chandramouli focussed more on the campaigning. In Kuppam Constituency, Close to 3,000 voters preferred NOTA. Rest of the parties managed to get anywhere around 8,000 votes.
On behalf of YCP Candidate Chandramouli, A Petition was moved in the court complaining about the loopholes in the election affidavit filed by Chandrababu Naidu. The complaint was filed regarding wrong figures when it comes to income and assets. TDP Chief could face disqualification if he was found guilty of not abiding by the Supreme Court guidelines.
Not just Chandrababu Naidu, Several TDP Leaders who got elected in 2019 Polls are facing similar threats. How many of the 23 MLAs and 3 MPs will survive for the full term?
