Bahubali first target: Rs 10 crore from Part 1!
By: Tupaki Desk | 2 Dec 2013 6:51 AM GMTIt is learnt that the makers of Bahubali have been quoting Rs 10 crore for the Overseas theatrical rights of the movie. This amount is only for Part 1, as we already new the period drama is being made in two parts.
Until now, Rs 7.5 crore offered for Atharintiki Daredi has been the highest in Overseas. As Bahubali will be releasing only in 2015, the Overseas market of Telugu films will go up further during this period and the exorbitant price has been qouted based on these equations.
Trade pundits say, Recovery of the huge investment will not be a big issue if the film is rich in content just like the previous films of Rajamouli. If Bahubali could fetch Rs 20 crore from Overseas rights alone (Part 1 & 2), It will be a major achievement for the team of this mega project.
