By: Tupaki Desk | 19 April 2016 3:42 PM GMTYSR Congress Party's key leader Balineni Srinivas Reddy refuted allegations that he is planning to join TDP. Rumors had that former minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy from Prakasam district will join the Telugu Desam Party dumping the YSR Congress party sooner or later. It also reported that TDP leadership approached Balineni through a media house owner, who had convinced him to join the TDP. It was also mentioned that TDP lured him with a MLC post.
Balineni has not responded on the reports and his silence assumed significance. Now at last Balineni opened on the reports and the YSRCP MLA set the record straight by refuting all the allegations. Addressing the media here on Tuesday, Balineni said he had left his ministerial post to join the YSRCP and there was no question of leaving the party.
Balineni also strongly condemned the statements that he was in talks with leaders of TDP and urged the media not to spread rumours about the issue. The YSRCP MLA further added that he is not aware of who was giving TDP assurances about him joining the rival party.
