Dattatreya Booked Over Suicide of Dalit Student

Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya have landed in trouble over suicide of 26-year-old P.hd student Rohith Vemula in Hyderabad central University. Rohith Vemula, committed suicide on Sunday evening after a disciplinary action was initiated against him by the university
According to reports five dalit students including Rohit were asked to vacate their hostels from campus in January 2016 and were asked to find different quarters for themselves. The student was hurt due to the social boycott.
Students of the university have launched protests after the death of Vemula. They alleged that Dattatreya had written to the Union HRD Ministry seeking action against Vemula and other scholars. JAC said the student was hurt due to the social boycott and commits suicide.
Based on the complaint Hyderabad police today filed an FIR against Dattatreya under the SC/ST Act.Police booked case against vice chancellor Appa rao as A1 and Dattatreya was booked as A2.
