Bandi Sanjay Has Plans For GHMC Elections

Finally, Bandi Sanjay is showing signs of some strong decisions. The new Telangana BJP chief is now planning some strong moves. He is now said to be toying with the idea of dividing the GHMC region into six units and appointing presidents for each of them.
For all practical purpose, these units will function independently and chalk out their own programmes. The party chief feels that this will also help in building new leadership in the party at the grassroots level. He is said to have discussed the proposal with the Central leadership, which has backed the idea. In fact, Sanjay is planning to do this ahead of the GHMC elections.
If sources are to be believed, the units would be set up are: Golkonda, Charminar, Kukatpally, Dilsukhnagar, Secunderabad and central Hyderabad.
Some seniors, however, say that there is nothing new about this proposal. They say that the BJP has similar system in place in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi and Ahmedabad. The same system is being implemented here, they said.
