All eyes are now on the upcoming Gujarat General elections. Though the BJP is very strong there the opposition parties are expected to put up a strong fight. Keeping this in mind the party considered various factors and picked the list of 160 candidates who will run the upcoming polls.
The party strategically picked Morbi Incident Hero Kantilala Amrutiya who gave his best in saving the victims. Seeing that people fell into the water from the suspension bridge collapsed did not think a second and jumped into the water.
Kantilala Amrutiya, an ex-MLA from the same Morbi constituency played a big role in saving a few people and he even oversaw the rescue operations. He became the talk of the towns all of a sudden with that incident and people showered massive praises on him.
Now the ex-MLA got a party ticket for the upcoming elections. The Party leadership addressed the media earlier today to announce the list of candidates and Kantilala Amrutiya is one of them.
Besides the good image, he gained with the heroics in saving the victims the idea he has on the constituency might also work in his favour. The sitting MLA was dropped from the list while issuing the tickets.
