Fatwa issued against KFC Chicken

Yes, A Fatwa or Islamic Edict has been issued against popular restaurant chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). This was done by a senior Mufti of Dargah-e-Ala Hazrat in Bareilly.
Salim Noori, the senior Mufti, told chicken served in KFC outlets is neither processed nor cooked adhering to the Islamic Law. He went on to say that processing meat away from the eyes of Muslims is being practiced by KFC and thus such meat is considered as haram in Islam. He declares halal certificates displayed at KFC outlets can't be trusted as long as the details of how the meat would be processed and cooked wasn't disclosed. As a result, Its been declared as something which shouldn't be eaten.
The decision to issue a Fatwa was taken after people enquired with Salim Noori if KFC Chicken can be consumed as per Islamic law. For now, Its a verbal fatwa. Expect a written fatwa any time soon.
Will the fatwa and the widespread publicity it garnered affects the revenue generation of KFC? Wait & See..!
